We have become known to the rest of the world as the country of the obese, where we now have more than 40% of our population is not only obese, but clinically obese, and I know a whole lot about weight problems.  I’ve dealt with it, pretty much, all of my life except for my teenage years and in my early twenties.  Once you go through the cycle of dieting where you starve for a while, and your body reacts violently by saying “Oh my goodness they’re lost somewhere or they’re on a deserted island, and I’ve got to preserve their stored energy, and I’ll slow down their metabolism to preserve future energy reserves”, and then of course when you come off the starvation, and you binge a little bit, your bounce back is very, very strong, and your body resets a thermostat so that you now gain five extra pounds.  When you have done this as many times as I have, you gain a lot of knowledge about obesity.  I had great discipline whenever I chose to exercise it, and I could lose 10, or 15, or 20 pounds, and then I would gain it back in the first three months or so, and gain back an extra five pounds up until the point where my body weight was quite excessive, and even now is more than I want it to be.  I have more understanding about obesity and fat than I have ever had in my life, and I chose at this point, in my life not to hurt myself by dieting, and certainly not to do any yo-yo type dieting.  I have learned to gain control of my weight through good nutrition, some simple disciplines, and some understanding how food groups play a part.  I slowly lose a few pounds a month – or at least maintain my current weight without gaining, but even that requires discipline.  I could get aggressive and lose several pounds if I chose to, and I know some of you know exactly what I’m talking about, but I haven’t found it to be the best when it comes to our health. As long as you’re steadily on the course of loosing weight, that’s better from the health front.   Nutrition has a lot to do with it. Let’s start with the basics first.

Obviously, being clinically obese, chronically obese, or obese to any degree it may or may not have anything to do with your thyroid.  My guess is more times than not it does have something to do with your thyroid, and instead of going through the thyroid lecture what I want to do is teach you through nutrition, how to convert the thyroid from a T-4, which is a storage form of thyroid over to a T-3, which is an active form of thyroid, by removing the fluoride out of the thyroid.  Fluoride is a very dominate element that we get in our toothpaste, municipal water and other places, because it’s such a dominate element it stays in our thyroid, and does not let the iodine in, therefore, the thyroid becomes very sluggish, and cannot regulate our metabolism.
We as a society are inundated with white flour and white sugar products to the level that it should be a crime.  These things are even allowed to come upon us in such a way that is damaging our health, and some day it wouldn't surprise me, after we overcome our own ignorance, that these things would be banned from our society.  The average American consumes 150 pounds of sugar, not counting what’s in soft drinks.  There’s 1.2 teaspoons of sugar per ounce of soft drink, and of course that means you drink a 12 ounce cola you’re getting 12  to 14 teaspoons of sugar, and don’t believe just because you drink a diet drink, you are not in danger. It is well documented that the diet drinks accelerate your cravings for carbohydrates, and I’m not talking about your good carbohydrates, they accelerate your cravings for your simple carbohydrates such as white flour, white sugar, and white pasta products.    So we now have a sluggish thyroid, we’re inundated eating the white flour, white sugar, white pasta products, white rice, and white potatoes. What do you think will happen in our body?   We need to take a good look at our nutrition.  I don’t like to beat up the potato that much because it is a natural product, but what I do fault us on, is eating the white part out of the potato after the potato has been grown with almost zero nutrition in it, and then not eating the peelings.  When it comes to potatoes, most of the nutrition is in the peeling.  What we should be doing is eating the peeling, and throwing away the rest of the potato.  It does have some health benefits, and raw, it certainly has some good enzymes, and a few nutrients that you can extract, but the peeling has the most nutrients when it comes to white potatoes.  When it comes to pasta, eat whole grain, eat brown rice, and whole grain bread.  This is not a hard issue to overcome; we’ve just got to overcome it in our minds.  So I’m talking about a life change here as we migrate from obesity down to some decent body weight where we can function, have the energy, have the life, and have the mobility that we all want.  Getting off the white flour, white sugar, white rice, and the white pasta has got to become part of your lifestyle, or you may never overcome this.  You have to get the Complete Body Balance Kit, a very wonderful place to start to get the nutrition going in.  But on top of that, we need to understand there’s something else about becoming obese, and what we haven’t given a lot of thought to is, why does our metabolism slow down?  We accept it just as a part of life, but why do we do that?  Our metabolism goes from a fast burning metabolism at 18 years old to a slower metabolism at 30 to 50 years old. Next thing you know, we eat a handful of food, and gain two pounds versus some males and females who still have a fast metabolism.  They eat three times as much food, and they couldn’t gain weight if you tried to beat it on them.  So, it’s very discouraging, and I certainly understand that, but why has our metabolism slowed down?  I want you to look at the Complete Cleanse Kit, and I want you to go through these cleanses, not just one or two, but, all of them.  Liver cleanse, gallbladder, toxic sludge and immune boost cleanses.  Here’s one in particular I want you to look at, and it’s called the sugar wellness cleanse.  You see, we weren’t designed to be eaters of a lot of meat.  Our physical body was not designed to consume that much meat, and that much protein.  If you look at the way we were created, and the things that work, and the things that don’t work within us, about 10% of our diet should be in meat protein, and zero visible animal fat.  You can get protein from beans and nuts.  Now, you can still eat meat just not any visible fat on that meat.  And pork, you can’t get away from the fat, because pork is the only meat on the planet where you can’t separate the fat from the lean, but if I’m eating a steak I will get all the visible fat off.  If I eat lamb, or goat, I’m getting all the visible fat off.   Chicken, turkey, and fish remove all visible fat, but of course you won’t find a lot of visible fat on fish.  You need to remove the skin in a lot of cases because that’s where the toxins hide, and the same is true with chicken.  The fat and the toxins are directly under the skin, but here’s what has happened over a number of years.  Because we are consumers of so much fatty animal products and fat has no nutrition, whatever that animal consumes in its lifetime, all the toxins migrated into the fat cells.  So when you eat the fat cells you get concentrated toxins, not nutrition.  In America, about 48% of our diets on average are protein, and it should be no more than about 10% of our diets.

What happens is our cells start to collect a coating of fat around them, and it starts out mild in our early 20s and 30s, later we start to get a build-up of fat around our red blood cells, and because of that they become less and less sensitive to insulin, therefore, it takes more and more insulin to make them open up and convert sugar into energy, and the insulin has two jobs, it either opens up the cells, makes them take on the sugar in order to convert it to energy for you, or the insulin literally captures the sugar molecule, smothers it down, converts it, and carries it into your fat cells.  So your fat cells are nothing more than insulin and sugar molecules stored for future energy.  Your pancreas will secrete about 600 times, or 600% of its normal capacity.  In other words, it will secrete a whole lot more than we need if we’re eating properly.  Now to correct this, what we’ve got to do is get our body back to where the cells are more sensitive to the insulin.  I am firmly convinced that if you do the sugar wellness cleanse, which is nothing more than a very strong discipline for 60 days, zero animal products, and eating fruits and vegetables mostly raw, whole grains, and filtered water, RO (reverse osmosis) filtered water would be the best choice, you will take the fat covering off of those cells so that they now become sensitive to the insulin, and the more sensitive they become the faster your metabolism speeds up.

So if you got your thyroid working properly, you’re converting from T-4 storage to T-3 active thyroid, you got the fluoride out of your diet, you got the fat now pulled off of the cells, and they’re sensitive to the insulin, it doesn’t take that much insulin anymore to get them excited, open up, and they burn the sugar, and this will start the process of speeding up our metabolism naturally.  At this point also, when you’re doing the sugar wellness cleanse, you’ve got to know how important it is to get some exercise.  Exercise is vitally important to getting this metabolism cranked back into place.  It doesn’t require a lot.  You can spare 30 minutes a day, that is important.  A brisk hard walk for 30 solid minutes nonstop.  If you cannot walk 30 minutes non stop, then you walk as far as you can, you stop and you breathe, and you walk again.  You continue to do this until you can walk 30 minutes non stop.  This is very important to get your metabolism back into place, and to burn this fat cell covering off the cells that you have built up over the years.  So, it’s very important to get the exercise done, 30 minutes a day at least 4 days out of a week would suffice, but you’ve got to do it.
The other important thing is drinking water along with this 60 day time frame to get the metabolism back into place, and throughout the rest of your life.  Drinking half of your body weight in ounces of water is vitally important.  So, if you’re big, if you’re obese, drinking half your body weight, in ounces, is tough, so how do you overcome that?   You can get the body weight down, and when you get the metabolism back up you will have no problem drinking your proper amount of water daily.

When you’re on the Complete Body Balance Kit, and you want to keep that energy good and strong, so here are some vitamins that you will need. Vitamin B-6, 100 mg three times a day, and if you’re over 40 try to find the P5P brand of Vitamin B-6, that’s peridoxil 5 phosphate that is the active form of B-6, your body does not have to convert it, and that would certainly stimulate your energy cycle, vitamin B-12 is an energy stimulator on its own, a thousand micrograms three times a day would be very beneficial to you on this front, also adding apple cider vinegar to your drinking water will activate and stimulate the cycle even more than you’ve got going on right now.  As you do that you will see, keeping the weight off is not nearly as much of a challenge as it used to be, and that’s the area I want you to focus on.

There are minerals that will help accelerate the metabolism, and help you metabolize sugar and I highly recommend them. We talk about some of those in the thyroid area, and they’re the same minerals.  What you would need to add to what you get in the thyroid area is Chromium. a tablespoon of Chromium 2 to 4 times a day  would definitely speed up your metabolism.  A little bit of Manganese, a teaspoon 3 to 4 times a day helps to convert that thyroid from T-4 to T-3, Selenium, a tablespoon or 2 tablespoons a day occasionally would help convert that thyroid from T-4 to T-3, and Iodine obviously is going to be part of your weight loss system, as well as getting your mind set right.  Learn to be a little bit hungry.  Don’t embrace I’m hungry; let me go get something to eat.  Try to embrace the fact that you are a little bit hungry, and try to enjoy the fact that you feel a little bit hungry.  When it comes to reality, and how active you are, how much energy you have, being a little bit hungry is not so bad.

Now if you really want to be diligent about weight loss, and you want to be consistent about it, the best way I have found is to make sure you get all your nutrition, but eat primarily raw fruits and vegetables.  If you eat raw fruits and vegetables there is no limit to what you can eat. You can eat as much as you want, any time you want, and I highly recommend eating meals very often, and eating quite a bit of it as long as it’s raw fruits and vegetables, and try to do more vegetables than you do fruit.  Drink reverse osmosis filtered water, and a lot of it.  Try to get as close to half your body weight in ounces as you can, try to get that 30 minutes of exercise going in every single day, because fat is nothing more than stored energy.  If you’re extremely obese you don’t want to do any extreme fasting until you get your nutrition going in, then you need to break yourself into the fasting mode doing no more than one day at a time, then creeping up to two days, getting the body back in sync, then trying three days, and eventually you can get up to seven days of fasting, while keeping your nutrition going in, and drinking nothing but juices.  Then eventually you can go to even ten and twenty-one days of fasting, but do not do this right away.  When you do go on to a fasting, keep drinking liquids, keep the juices going in, and keep the nutrition going in, because there is danger if you’re extremely obese, of dumping too many toxins out of the fat cells into the body.  Those toxins can overload your system. You need to keep the bowels loose, clean that liver often while you’re loosing a lot of weight to get some of the toxins out of the system.

Now, if you just have to have some meat, you feel like you can’t go on anymore without, then do so, but make it a piece of lean meat with no fat on it whatsoever.  Try to keep your portions as small as 4 ounces, no skin, no visible fat, and this will certainly help you maintain and stay on this kind of a diet program.

Let’s re-cap on some of the products we talked about buying that you can use in this battle against obesity.  Number one is the Complete Body Balance Kit to put your body back into a condition where it can start healing itself, the Complete Cleanse Kit is going to be absolutely essential here, extra Chromium, extra Manganese, extra Selenium, and extra Iodine.  And on the Iodine don’t take it all at one time.  Take a teaspoon at a time, but you can take it 3 or 4 different times in the day, just spread it out a little bit.  Remember, persistence wins, 9 times over luck or skill and with this one we have to be persistent.
